Upgraded to "could cook if he could be bothered"

Yesterday I was determined to cook a proper meal for J before she got home, so with my face buried in the Nigella Express cookbook I began cooking the buttermilk-marinated chicken drumsticks I'd prepared the day before (thanks to J for the peppercorns -above the cooker in plain sight, whoops!) and made my first attempt at eggplant cookery, which turned out to be a resounding success! J came home and prepared a delicious garlic eggplant dish to go with our meal and the end result looked like this:



I'm really liking this cooking malarky, I'm regretting not having started sooner!
